Stockland’s first land release in Clyde sells out
Stockland’s first land release of 45 lots at its new Edgebrook residential community at Clyde, south-east Melbourne, sold out within hours of debuting on the market. A total of 45 home sites, priced from $225,000 to $314,000 and ranging from 350 square metres to 512 square metres, sold within 48 hours of being launched. Stockland has now unveiled another 40 home sites to cater to the strong demand for land at the future 800-home community.
Mike Davis, Stockland General Manager for Victoria, said he was delighted by the initial interest in Edgebrook, with the community appealing to all types of buyers, especially first home buyers who are keen to get onto the property ladder. “Edgebrook is proving very popular with first home buyers who are attracted by the opportunity to buy an affordable house and land package in a high growth corridor close to outstanding schools, retail facilities, transport and employment,” Davis said. “Edgebrook residents will have easy access to ovals, parks, shops and sporting facilities in the area, as well as the Princes Freeway and Cranbourne Train Station. Families will also have a choice of 10 existing schools located within 8km of Edgebrook and there are more proposed schools for the area.”
Edgebrook further expands Stockland’s presence in the rapidly growing south eastern growth corridor, with the exciting new project located close to its award-winning sold-out masterplanned community Selandra Rise. The 65-hectare community has been designed to blend in with the natural environment and a special feature of Edgebrook is the Clyde Creek which runs through the development.
In addition, Stockland is placing a strong emphasis on creating a connected community, with the developer planning to host a range of community events for Edgebrook residents, including free move nights and family fun days. Stockland will also be running its Link and Learn Program which offers learning workshops and initiatives for children and adults. Earthworks will commence at Edgebrook in mid-2017 and the first residents are expected to move in around December 2018.
Lot sizes at Edgebrook currently range from 213 square metres and they are priced from $169,000. Davis said Stockland is also planning to construct a series of affordable townhomes at Edgebrook which will appeal to buyers wanting a convenient, low-maintenance lifestyle.
