Somerfield celebrates Easter
Somerfield Social Club is holding an Easter event for its youngest residents on Sunday, 9 April from 10am – 12pm at the Pirate Adventure Playground on the corner of Somerfield Drive North and Newbury Street. It will feature an animal petting farm, face-painter, balloonist and a visit from the Easter bunny.
“Easter is a time for coming together and celebrating with our communities,” says Max Shifman, Chief Operating Officer for Intrapac Property, the company behind the project. “At Somerfield, we’re building great memories for the children who live here with our annual Easter celebration and welcome all residents to come along for some great family fun.”
There will be an Easter egg hunt around the Pirate Adventure Playground, a balloonist twisting and turning a simple balloon into a work of art, face painters transforming toddlers into adorable Easter bunnies, a petting zoo to educate and entertain the youngest in the development, and plenty of smiles to capture on camera. “Dress up in your best Easter outfits, because there will be prizes given out by the Easter bunny,” says Shifman. “And don’t forget to share your eggs if you find more than you can eat!”
This year, local Somerfield resident Melanie Masri will be creating special Easter-themed cupcakes for the children to enjoy on the day. Somerfield Social Club is run by a team of volunteers, together with the help of Intrapac Property.
